About Lucas Beaudoin

My interest in magic began when I was 8 years old. All it took was a magic kit that I recieved for my birthday in third grade and I was hooked. Growing up in southwest Michigan meant that I was only an hour from the " Magic Capitol of the World", located in Colon, Michigan. This served as one of many sources to continue my excitment and learning in the magic world.

Now 21, I continue to have a deep appreciation for magic and am constantly practicing and performing. I do on average 30 to 40 shows a year of varying styles. Anywhere from walk around venues such as weddings or restaurants, to parlor shows at private parties or corporate events, and even the occasional stage show! I have been performing professionaly since sophomore year of high school.

Most of my influence in magic comes from close up magicians such as David Blaine, Garrett Thomas, Dani Daortiz, Helder Guimaraes, and many more. While my initial interest in magic was stage performance, I fell in love with close-up magic in 6th grade. I now specialize in close-up magic, specifically in cards. The idea that you can be standing a mere three feet away and experience magic rather than sitting 50 yards away really makes it a more memorable experience given the intimacy.

My goals in magic are to constantly improve and perform. I wouldn't be doing magic if it wasn't for the audiences I'm able to be in front of. I love to travel to meet not only other magicians, but other groups of people that I can perform for. I feel that every year I become more knowledgeable and a better performer, and to constantly be chasing some of my biggest influences continues to drive me forward.

Please feel free to contact me about any future events that you might want me to perform at. Shoot me an email and I would be happy to talk about details such as pricing and performance styles. Thank you for supporting!
