See why: *Fox News Channel called me a "Modern Day Houdini" *The CBS Evening News with Katie Couric did a feature story on me and called me the "Housewife Houdini" *Boston's award winning TV news magazine Chronicle HD called me "The Female Houdini" , *Boston Phoenix said "Houdini is back and she is a female" *The Boston Globe said "She earns her living doing great escapes" and her escapes are "edge of your seat stuff" *Greater Boston with Emily Rooney said “She can get out of practically anything”
As an escape artist, my goal is to challenge myself by trying to do things that few escape artist have dared. My hero was Harry Houdini. To honor Harry, most escape artists try and copy his escapes. If you know anything about Houdini, he hated anyone who copied his act. I do not try and duplicate his escapes. I try and go beyond Houdini. Whether its setting world records on TV, training to the extreme (power lifting or long underwater breath holds) or fighting to extricate myself from more restraints (chains, shackles, handcuffs, strait jackets or rope) than others before me, my goal is to bring escapes into the 21st century. I perform some of escapology's most dangerous escapes like my Underwater Leap of Faith where I am shackled with my than twice weigh of restraints as Houdini did in his leaps or the Underwater Cell (UC) the world's only full view Milk Can escape where I am shackled and padlocked underwater in a clear bullet proof tank. I try and show others that with a little "mind over matter" you can do the impossible. Extremely Yours, Alex
