Magician Michael E. Johnson has been performing magic shows and teaching magic classes more than 40 years.  He is the former President of IBM Ring 76 in San Diego, one of the biggest magic clubs in America.  He was named "Entertainer of the Year" four times by his peers.

He is the creator of "Life Skills Magic," a youth enrichment program that teaches life skills through the art of magic.  The program has been implemented at Boys and Girls Clubs, YMCAs, schools and colleges throughout Southern California.  Johnson is the former Managing Director of the California Magic Quartet.

In 2012 he published his first magic book "Playing Cards Autographed By Magicians: A Collectors Guide."  The following year he published "Magician Doug Henning Collectibles Guide."  Both books are available on Amazon.  Johnson has also published articles in Genii magazine, Magic magazine, The Linking Ring and M-U-M.

Johnson has performed magic on stage, television, radio and motion pictures.  His most recent film was the indie release "Desperate Acts of Magic" in 2013.  Johnson is a regular headliner at the Del Mar Fair and the Fallbrook Festival of the Arts.  He has been featured in articles by the San Diego Union-Tribune, Los Angeles Times, San Diego Business Journal and Monterey Herald.  His past clients include Hewlett Packard, Qualcomm, United States Marines, Superbowl Host Committee, American Cancer Society, and Skateboard mogul Tony Hawk.  As a historian, Johnson created the website MagicBiography.com to highlight the accomplishments of important Magicians.  He has worked with the White House, the Senate, House of Representatives, Governor's Office, City Council and County Board of Supervisors to help honor worthy Magicians.

Also a collector, Johnson owns the eBay store Michael Johnson Collectibles, which specializes in contemporary magic memorabilia.  Over the past ten years, his store has sold some of the most expensive collections in the history of the magical arts, covering Ricky Jay, Melinda, Penn and Teller, Doug Henning, Milt Larsen and Criss Angel.
