As a teacher, consultant, lecturer and entertainer, Kelvin has spent over thirty years teaching and entertaining children, adults and educators, the topics of mathematics, technology, mathemagic and kites in the classroom.

He has integrated the curriculum standards of mathematics, science, social studies, and performing arts; and woven his hobbies of technology, magic, kites and balloons, to design innovative technology, mathemagic and kite workshops.

Kelvin has taught elementary and secondary education from K through adult.

He shared his knowledge with students, educators, and entertainers at professional development workshops, courses, and conferences.

"Kelvin Chun (1995) is perhaps the most "decorated" graduate of the program, having received a Disney Teacher Award in 1999, and the Honolulu District Teacher of the Year award that same year. Kelvin has combined his math, science, and computer skills to create innovative designs in technology program for K-6 students, and has been recognized for his efforts locally as well as nationally. "



As a K-12 Department of Education teacher, Chun have over 30 years of teaching experience in mathematics and technology at the elementary and secondary level at numerous schools, district, and state.

Chun was a secondary mathematics (7-12) teacher at: Mckinley High, Moanalua High (Spring, 1984: Mathematics Teacher; Summers, 1984-1986 Pre-Algebra, Algebra), Waianae High, Pearl City High and Waialua Intermediate and High Schools. He taught various levels of mathematics from grades 7 - Pre-Calculus, and AP Computer Science. Chun was also a librarian / multimedia facilitator / technology resource teacher at Nuuanu, Pohakea and Waialae Elementary School.

Chun was the state Computer Educational Specialist at the Office of Instructional Services and a Leeward District Technology Resource teacher planning curriculum and training teachers in the use of technology.

Chun integrated mathematics with my hobbies of technology magic, balloons and kites and have provided teacher training workshop (state-wide) through the University of Hawaii's Outreach College programs and the Department of Education's B-Credit programs. He also presented these topics at the local mathematics, technology, kite and magic conferences, Hawaii State Teacher's Association Conferences and workshops, Hawaii Council of Teachers of Mathematics Conference and national and international conferences including the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics Conference and magicians' conferences.
