Hey I.B.M. Brothers and Sisters

First, let me apologize for the hotel canceling your reservation in an earlier email.

The Convention team has been actively monitoring the medical response in the U.S. and hoped the convention could go forward safely this July, but have been prioritizing the health of our members and preparing for the alternative. In doing so, the hotel thought we were 100% on this and moved forward with our alternate course.

The reality is, the I.B.M. Board has legal processes meant to ensure the safety of all our members and must follow an official protocol in a scheduled meeting tonight.

Again, I am so sorry you are getting the emails from the hotel. Just keep in mind there are so many moving parts and information is changing daily almost hourly. As always, we have you at the forefront of our minds and will update you following an official decision.
