DAY 1 of I.B.M. Convention

 Early Bird Registration opened at 4:30 pm Tuesday, followed at 5 pm with the opening of the Dealer's Room.

Two stellar lectures officially launched the convention at the beautiful Amway Grand Plaza Hotel.

At 7 pm was the first official event of the convention -- the EDF Distinguished Lecture, by Gary Brown.

A second lecture -- by Rick Merrill -- was given at 9 pm.

Of course there was much greeting and hugging as people arrived from around the world.

Yes, Grand Rapids, Michigan is the center of the magic world this week.
