The sixth annual "Charity International Festival of Magic" will be held Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, March 13-15, in the fully restored Murcia Circus Theatre, in Murcia, in Southeast Spain. The name of the festival is “Grand Illusions.” The name was selected because it not only refers to the spectacular disciplines of magic, but also to the hopes and dreams of all the people involved in the project, according to J. Francisco Fernandez, Director of the Gmp Foundation, who is the organizing group. He says it also refers to the many people who need help to improve their living conditions, as well as those who serve them daily (family, disability organizations, staff, etc.). They have grand illusions, too.

The purpose of the festival is to raise funds for remodeling, expanding, and improving the facilities of the center which serves the people. The first five festivals raised over 170,000 Euros ($184,424 USD).

Entertainers scheduled for this year’s Festival include: Arkadio, El Gran Dimitri, Jordan Gomez, Jeff Toussaint, Karim, Magic Taps, Mago Vituco, Mago Rafa, Miguel Angel Gea, Miguelillo, Pedro Volta, Juan Carlos Jimenez ("El Nino"), Josele Megia, Mario Carrion, and Manolo SarriaMarch.  There will be one show Friday night, two shows on Saturday, and one on Sunday, plus street magic on Santo Domingo Square, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
