Hocus in Focus team goes the extra mile with reviews

The Hocus in Focus team over at The Linking Ring covered a tremendous amount of ground in 2009 reviewing the latest books, videos/DVDs, tricks, ebooks, pamphlets and other magical offerings to give you an independent and unbiased review so that you can make a fully informed buying decision.

It is staggering to see everything that has come under their watchful eyes. Due to space limitations, not every review can appear in The Linking Ring. So, as you peruse this series of PDF files, you might see some familiar reviews, while others might be new.

We appreciate the time the Hocus in Focus team spends on their reviews. It is not an easy task to critically examine the hard work of others. Everything is OK when an effect or book or DVD is a great product at  a good value. However, when the offering is not so great, then how do you tactfully tell fellow magicians this one might not be worth the investment?

In going over the reviews, I appreciated how they treated each product reviewed with respect. While you will gain some valuable insights into products to be purchased, woven throughout are bits of magic history, too. So, not only are the reviews informative, they are educational.
