I voted... exercising one of the most honorable rights as a United States citizen. The polls have closed and the tallies have been made and unless you've been sleeping under a rock, you know that Barack Obama is our new President Elect. However in the hours after this historic event, I wanted to go on record to let you know my thoughts on the matter. I am certain that while it is comforting to believe in leadership, your greatest liberty will not come from being at the polls but will be the result of taking personal responsibility for the quality of your own life and your own business. The truth of the matter, it is YOU and only you who will be able to make the decision to work late, create more, and study to extend yourself to be of greater service to the world. No politician or the economy or anyone else that can or will INSURE your future of becoming happy, healthy or living comfortably. It's just not possible.
Here's what I mean...
NO MATTER whom you voted for on election day and how happy or sad you are today...Your rent or mortgage; your car payment, your insurance...is all going to be due again next month -- just like they were last month. They might be due right now!
Additionally, you will need extra money for the holidays, right? Now, what politician is going to write you a check for these expenses in time to be on time at any time in your lifetime? Who's got to do it? We know the answer.
It's YOU! -- as always and as usual.
This is real time evidence that your most dependable hope for the future is to laser focus your energy, stand up strong within yourself and decide to take control of your finances. It is YOU who will need to build your relationships... your business; work that body into pristine condition and live the way you know you have to for the sake of your kids, your family and yourself.
Now that's what I'm talking about! You have to get through it my friend...you have to get to it! It's YOU!
