Greetings, here we are, Superbowl Sunday is over and we have already started February...was it not just yesterday that we were celebrating New Years? Last weeks opening statement "tempus fugit" seems clearer and clearer each day. A beautiful new illusion presented by Sterling Dietz, numerous e-mails with regards to "Happy Magicians Day" from friends in many countries, the preparations for Miami's Mini Magic Day featuring Alexander Blade, Levent, Aldo and Rachel Colombini and the legendary John Calvert; a soon to be visit and lecture from Tom Craven, visiting with Clem and Jean Kinnicutt; it is safe to say it has been a week full of magical happenings. Adding to the magic is the fact that in a few days Jay and I will be celebrating our 36th wedding anniversary; speaking of time flying! (read more) (Read in Spanish)

Time, now is the time to stop and think that there is always different ways to reach our goals. We don't need to do things in the same old ways that they've been done before. While we should take note of the past and learn from history and past experiences, we should also consider the here and now, today, and improve upon the past as we move forward. Look over our shows, check our props and see how they might be improved. Let us check our pricing schedules and see whether those might be improved or tweeked to take into account today's needs. What of our advertising? Are we putting or dollars into the right advertising media? What's right? Right is what is right for today - something that was wonderful yesterday might not be the best today. Consider the yellow pages, fantastic yesterday, but with the advent of the internet, can that be trimmed down and can we use the same dollars for a website or other electronic advertising?

Now is the time to develop our creativity and to strategize for the future as we move forward. Remember, tomorrow never comes for when it comes it becomes today.

Until next time, remember to keep a dream in the making for you create your tomorrows by what you dream today.
