Let us remember that as Michael Athsuler said "The bad news is that time flies. The good news is that you are the pilot". Good economy or bad, good times or hard, we should always do everything in our power to succeed and should bear in mind that success does not come to those who wait; we should bear in mind that our challenge is not to manage time but to manage ourselves so we might make the best use of the time we have.
Until next time, I hope each of you is making your plans for the future, be they marketing or life plans, and I hope that you will be taking the steps to put those plans into motion so that they may come true for each of you. Do let me know if I may in any way help any of them come to fruition for you.

Abb Dickson - has been laid up since the last week of July when he suffered a spinal chord injury after a fall in his warehouse. The details are lengthy but he does advise that he is doing much better and that he WILL improve and be able to be up and around again although the road will be long and difficult. If you e-mail him, he promises to get back to you even if the response won't be immediate; he is still wading through the 6,000 or so e-mails that date back to July when he was unable to get back on the computer.
Clem and Jean Kinnicutt are in our thoughts this week. Their daughter-in-law is hospitalized with spinal injuries after suffering a fall from a horse. Although the prognosis is good and it appears there won’t be any paralysis, the road to recovery will be difficult. This as Clem is recovering from a fall he took himself if you will recall his photo from the Have You Heard from a few weeks ago and Jean continues to recuperate both from her eye injury and her knee surgery. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
Prayers for Little Emily, and an update. For those of you who remember two weeks ago we wrote about the little 4 year old girl who was so ill. An assistance fund has been set up for her family and here’s the information for those who wish to and are able to assist We can receive and receipt donors for medical assistance to Emily. The amazing Doc Eason will be lecturing for Ring 130 at our usual meeting place of the Golden Corral on Beach Boulevard. Saturday, November 15, 2008 - Ring cookout and magic show
This fun event will be the second in our “give back to our members” series. This will take place in Simone’s back yard at Jacksonville Beach, from 12 noon – 4pm. There will be plenty to eat and drink, and your families are welcome. This event will be FREE for all members, and $5 for each family member and all other magicians. Please note that you must make reservations for this event, so that we may cater for the correct amount of people. Society of American Magicians—2009 Annual Convention

Plans for our 2009 S.A.M. National Convention in Buffalo, NY are underway and there are many exciting programs in the works. All conventioneers will be attending a Las Vegas style magic review located in the heart of Niagara Falls, starring The International Grand Champion of Magic, Greg Frewin. You can check out Greg Frewin's show by going to: www.gregfrewintheatre.com You won't want to miss this exciting illusion show featuring rare and majestic tigers at his 600 seat theatre.
Because we will be crossing into Canada, it is extremely important that all attendees have their passports so they can cross the border without any problems. Effective June 1, 2009 actual passports, not just identification, are required to return to the U.S., so be sure to acquire one before it gets too late.
In addition to the above, a recent report from John reports that already hired for the convention are Andy Dallas, S.A.M. Past National President, Mike Miller S.A.M. President Elect; Dean George Schindler S.A.M. Past National President, Dan Rodriguez S.A.M. Past National President and Bruce Kalver, S.A.M. National President, among others.

Cada día se compone de 24 horas, compuesta por 1440 minutos, lo que a su vez se componen de 86.400 segundos y nos presenta nuevas oportunidades para utilizar los segundos, minutos y horas y utilizarlas para el mejor uso posible. Es importante que en su uso, planifiquemos el futuro y, que adoptemos medidas para poner estos planes en marcha. No olvidemos que, como dice Michael Athsuler "La mala noticia es que el tiempo vuela. La buena noticia es que usted es el piloto". Buena o mala economía, buenos tiempos o tiempos difíciles, siempre deberíamos hacer todo lo que esté a nuestro alcance para tener éxito y deben tener en cuenta que el éxito no viene a los que esperan, tenemos que tener en cuenta que nuestro meta no es el controlar el tiempo, si no es controlarnos a nosotros mismos para de esa manera hacer el mejor uso del tiempo que tenemos.
Hasta la próxima vez, espero que cada uno de ustedes esten haciendo sus planes para el futuro, ya sean planes de comercialización o planes de vida, y espero que ustedes tomen los pasos necesarios para poner estos planes en marcha a fin de que puedan hacerse realidad para cada uno de ustedes . Abb Dickson - la mejoria de la lesión sufrida
Abb Dickson se ha restablecido desde la última semana de Julio, cuando sufrió una lesión médula espinal después de una caída en su almacén. Los detalles son largos, pero nos informa de que está sintiendose mucho mejor y que va a mejorar y sera capaz de levantarse y caminar, aunque de nuevo el camino será largo y difícil. Si le mandan un e-mail, él promete contestarle a usted, aunque la respuesta no será inmediata, el todavía esta leyendo los mas de 6000, o e-mails que se remontan a julio, desde cuando no ha podido leerlos.
Clem y Jean Kinnicutt estan en nuestros pensamientos esta semana. Su nuera esta hospitalizada con lesiones espinales tras sufrir una caida de un caballo. Aunque el prongnostico es bueno y parece que no va a sufrir una paralisis , el camino de la recuperacion no sera facil. Esto mientras Clem se esta recuperando de una caida que se acordara mande la foto en una edicion pasada, y Jean sigue para recuperandose de la lesion de su ojo y de la operacion de su rodilla. Por favor mantenganlos en sus oraciones.
Emily—la pequeñita y fondo de asistencia
Se pidieron oraciones para la pequeña Emily. Para aquellos de ustedes que recuerdan hace dos semanas que escribi sobre ka pequeña de 4 años que estaba tan enferma. Un fondo de asistencia se ha creado para su familia y aquí está la información para aquellos que desean y son capaces de ayudar
