Wednesday night May 7th will be another special evening for all magicians in and around the Houston area that will not be soon repeated. Banachek will perform his full evening stage show at the Houston Improv Comedy Club for the "Ta Da! Comedy and Magic Night".  Showtime is 8:00 p.m. and tickets are $15.00.  You can call 713-333-8800 for reservations   And judging from the near sell-out at the recent Ta Da! Comedy and Magic Night, it may not be a bad idea to make your reservations today. There will be no two for one discounts available but seeing Banachek perform his evening program should be definitely worth it.  Jamie Salinas will again be the emcee for this event.

Phil Kampf enters the third of his four week engagement at the Magic Island this week with his dove and comedy act that will be running through Saturday May 18th.  Scott Hollingsworth and Jay Schwaush are the house close-up and mentalist performers, respectively.  Remember that the Island is open to the public every Friday and Saturday nights and some Thursdays but reservations are required by calling 713-52-MAGIC (or 713-526-2442).

I will close this week's offering with a quote (or perhaps a paraphrase) that is short yet full of good advice from one of our great magic performers and educators: "Prepare your battlefield." - Tony Slydini
