Magic Works University
People who embrace magic can gain confidence and self-esteem that extends far beyond the stage. The process of learning the magic teaches them to see the world through different eyes.
Autobiographical presentations can highlight lessons learned from personal challenges, while each performance can exercise poise and whole body coordination. The secret methods operating below the surface sharpen complex communication skills, and every performance requires organization and the development of sequential thinking. But there is more.
Magic is an Art that embodies all other Art forms. A structured performance might require costuming, choreography, music, storytelling, dance, and theatrical elements of lighting, sound and stage management, making the pleasure and joy of entertainment just the tip to an iceberg of life skills.
Michael Ammar will create a curriculum of magic, made up of about 24 lessons in four different languages. These lessons will be made up of both printed materials and multi-media instructions, and presented both in book form, along with 3 DVD's to present the course materials, and ultimately in digital form as a downloadable program online.
The printed portion will contain multiple photos to support the
teaching of the techniques shown on the DVD's, as well as
printed exercises the students will be asked to participate
in as the lessons progress.
The DVD's will contain clearly communicated instructions for the magic techniques featured in each lesson, as well as interviews of nationally and internationally renowned stars of magic to reinforce course materials and to act as inspirational role models.
As Sponsor, the Endowment and Development Foundation
will agree to finance the creation of this curriculum.
