MEL KIENTZ currently resides in Wickenburg, Arizona, with his wife of 20+ years, Julie. He is a graduate of Laney College (Oakland) with an Associate Arts Degree and from the University of Southern California (USC) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Telecommunications. While in Los Angeles, he had the following experiences in the broadcast entertainment Industry: Morning On-Air Host and Program Producer for KUSC-FM (PBS Network) Radio 1969-1971; Industrial Television Producer for the IBM Corporation 1970- 1973; Unit Manager, Video Cameraman and Technical Director for Video Tape Enterprises, Transamerica Video and Hughes Sport Network in the production of broadcast programs and commercials; Associate Producer of Ralph Story's AM Show on KABC Television in Los Angeles (format that grew into Good Morning America). Mel left broadcasting and Los Angeles in 1976 to work for Benner-Nawman, Inc. (1976 to present). He is currently their Senior Vice President. This company is in the distribution business serving the construction and electrical wholesale business. He has been a member of the I.B.M. since 1978 (Order of Merlin). He served on the I.B.M. convention committee for 11 years and is currently serving on the Executive Board of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. In 2008 he was Web Portal Editor for Magician.org, IBM's website.
SOLYL KUNDU and Salil Kumar Kundu are synonymous. A street magic show and a magic book from his brother introduced him to the magical arts. Solyl joined the I.B.M. in 1985, and became TVP for Northern India in 1998. He has served in Ring 83, as Secretary, Publicity Secretary and editor of their house journal; in Ring 261 as President and is a charter member of Ring 272. Solyl enjoys sharing his magic and has written books, e-books, and lecture notes on assorted magical concepts. His articles appeared in publications around the world including The Linking Ring. He had edited and published “The Gimmick”, and “The MagiZette” -- India’s only magic e-zine. Solyl has contributed to Ian Adair’s Dove Encyclopedia Volume 5. In 1986, Edwin Hooper of Supreme Magic UK, named Solyl “An Ace Dovician of India” for his pioneering work in dove magic. A double graduate (Science and Commerce) Solyl has a variety of acts ranging from cabaret performances to kids shows to illusions shows. He has organized two I.B.M. Ring Conventions and several competitions and get-togethers under banner of Ring 83. A frequent contributor to Ring 2100's digest, Solyl has received Presidential Citation from past International President Tony Wilson. Tim Quinlan has featured Solyl on Inside Magic, and Tony Brook has showcased him in M-U-M magazine. Solyl has performed in Canada and Britain on television and in person too. In Reno at the 2007 I.B.M. Convention, he served as Prelim Judge in Stage Magic Contests, and now has joined the bandwagon of the I.B.M. Portal staff.
DARRYN Le GRANGE has been a member of the IBM for nearly a decade. Although he enjoys and performs all types of magic, his real passion is mentalism. Sadly there are no active IBM rings in South Africa, but he belongs to and is currently president of the SA Magical Society, based in Durban.The SA Magical Society is the oldest magic society in South Africa and has a proud history with rich traditions. Darryn is a Chartered Accountant and works in the security industry as a Financial Director. He is married to Karen and have no children as yet.

RICHARD MEHRING, IBM member since 1953 while a junior in high school. First magic was purchased from the Johnson-Smith catalog in Michigan. After that he graduated to pre-owned miracles obtained via mail-order from Harold Martin's Magic and Jack LaWain's Magic (both in Illinois). While attending Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI, he worked for the Municipal Recreation Department performing in after-school social center programs. Later while serving with the Army in Germany there were several stints as MC and Magician with Special Service touring shows. Returning to civilian life his day-job was as a sales director for a housewares manufacturer for 37 years. During that time he performed evenings and weekends mainly before children and family audiences. He specialized in platform magic. Raised in Port Washington, WI, where he started performing while in high school. For over 50 years he has lived in West Bend, Wisconsin. His business travels took him throughout the US, England, Germany, Japan, and Australia. Now retired from his day-job and most magic performing, he focuses his magic interests as TVP-Wisconsin, member of Ring 41 Milwaukee (past President and Secretary), Ring 31 Madison, SAM Assembly 61 Milwaukee, and President of the Houdini Club of Wisconsin. He and his wife attend one or two magic conventions annually. 
TONY METZE learned his first trick from a circus worker who was pitching a bag of tricks for $1.25. From that point on the magic bug bit and he was hooked on magic. With Henry Hay's Amateur Magician's Handbook by his side, Tony learned coin manipulation. In 1974 he joined the I.B.M. at the age of 16 and helped form an IBM Ring in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Today he is the TVP for the state and enjoys the installation of officers as well as the fellowship of other magicians. He is the originator of the SCAM Magician of the Year Award and has chaired or overseen this annual search since its inception. ROGER MILLER became interested in magic during “Magic Month” in his Cub Scouts Troop when he was 9 years old. He lived close to St. Joseph, Missouri and was fortunate to meet and get to know legendary magician Faucet Ross. Since those early days, he has been an I.B.M. member for five decades and was a member of Ring 47 in Wichita, Kansas when he lived in Pratt. He was made a lifetime member of that Ring during his term as IBM International President in 2005-2006. He has served as President of Ring #29, Kansas City, in 1967 and 1987. Roger is a retired pharmacist and other hobbies include golf, history, RC model airplanes, and stamp collecting. Roger still performs his magic and is a sought-after Master of Ceremonies for several organizations. He has been married to Sheila for over fifty years and they have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.

MONA MORRISON's interest in magic stemmed from her father. When her dad was a young man, he moonlighted as a theater tech. When Harry Blackstone Sr. would come to Philadelphia her father worked tech on the show. From her mother she received a love of reading, nature, and writing. She was an art and music major in high school and then attended an advertising school. Her current day job is receptionist and community relations representative for her local township. A freelance photographer, Mona has been published in books, and in Genii, MAGIC, MUM and The Linking Ring. She has served on the Convention committee in various positions, including making a booklet for the youth contestants that consists of photos from the prior year's convention and letters of encouragement. She performs a little close up and walk around, for local events, but basically she applies her magic knowledge to the photography of magicians in performance. DR. DICK MOSSEY joined the I.B.M. in 1939 as I.B.M.’s first Junior Member. He has had continuous membership since then, receiving the Order of Merlin - Excelsior (60 years continuous membership) in 1999. Dr. Mossey is interested in all phases of magic as an art form including the literature of the craft and the collection and restoration of rare and antique apparatus. He is a retired surgeon residing in suburban Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is a founding member of Ring 41 in that city and Past I.B.M. Ring Coordinator, 1962-63. Dr. Mossey was elected to the I.B.M. Board of Trustees in 1962 and was elected International President, 1965-66. He has also served as International Treasurer 1981-88. He received an Honorary Membership in the organization in 1986, the IBM Medallion of Honor in 1988 (one of 5 awarded in the history of I.B.M.) and has attended over fifty I.B.M. annual conventions.
OBIE O’BRIEN was born in Ottawa Canada. He now resides in Redwood, NY. Schooled in the USA, he graduated 1957 with a BS, (math and business). Earned 2 Masters Degrees, and finished all course work for a PhD. Taught College Math for 31years (High School math for 2 years), retired in 1992. Sports: Hockey All American, played Baseball, Softball, and Semi Pro Hockey. Official scorer for Hockey in the 1980 Olympic Games in Lake Placid, NY. He was the official scorer for the famous "miracle" Russian-USA game, won by the US 4-3. Refereed Hockey, Football, Lacrosse, Soccer, Basketball for over 35 years. Magic: Started in College in 1953, joined the IBM in 1962. Attended first IBM convention in 1968 at Chattanooga. Attended all but three of the last 40 National IBM Conventions. Joined the Convention Committee In 1981, served for 15 years (Dealer chairman for 13 years). First two years Registration Chairman. Member Ring 151 (Ottawa Canada) & Ring 12 (Buffalo NY) & SAM member. IBM representative for FISM, Comm. Member for IBM/SAM 2008 Conv. President I.B.M.1993-94. Currently do about 40-50 magic shows a year mostly in N.Y. State and Canada. He has performed close-up magic at: Abbotts Convention, Tannens Convention, Florida State Convention, Magie Montreal Convention, Magic Hands (Germany), Irish Convention (Ireland), CAM (Canadian Assoc. of Magicians), NYCAN (NY State Canada Convention, Gatlinburg Convention, Tri Cities Conv. (Buffalo, Toronto, Hamilton) IBM Convention, Kansas City and other conventions. He attended 11-straight FISM Conventions starting in Vienna in 1976. He is the FISM representative for the IBM. A member of the FISM Jury in The Hague 2003, and the Head Judge for FISM Close Up in Stockholm Sweden 2006. I started 4F (Fechter’s Finger Flicking Frolic, the Original Close Up Magic Convention) in 1971. He was on the Board of Directors of CEMK (Close Encounters of the Magic Kind) for 20 years, Desert Magic Seminar for 25 years. Other Hobbies: Golf, Mystery Books, Bond and Seagall movies, all sports.
