As a part in the ongoing attempt to come to David's aid, a team headed by Lyn Dillies and Bill Hoagland is organizing a program book to further increase the amount of money being sought for David's treatment and recovery. This program will be published and presented in conjunction with the gala event "Let's DO Magic" to be held at Clark University's Daniels Theater, 950 Main St. Worcester, MA, on Saturday January 19th 2013. There will be TWO performances, at 2 PM and 7:30 PM.

Anyone interested in helping in this cause is being asked to place an advertisement in the program book, bid in the audtion, and to buy tickets, whether you can come or not! All funds will go DIRECTLY TO DAVID. Everyone involved in this effort is donating his or her time, expenses, and services.

Rates for ads are as follows: Back cover, $600; Inside covers, $400; Full page, $200; Half-page, $100; Quarter page, $50; Well Wisher listing, $25.

Payment by check or money order should be made out to David Oliver. Send payment and ad copy to Bob RIordan, 6 Belmont Terrace, Derry, NH, 03038. For convenience, the best way to place your ad is by sending it electronically to bobriordan@comcast.net. The closing date for the ads in the program is Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Mark your calendars right now so it won't get lost in the busy holidays.

Payment for an ad -- or just to make a donation without an ad -- may also be made electronically. Go to the project's Website: www.letsdomagic.org, or by calling (203) 877-0157.  Also check out the special show poster on the Website.

As for the AUCTION, go to www.letsDOmagic.org/auction.htm for all the details. There are some neat one-of-a-kind items, and you can bid electronically. Celebrity items so far include those from Neil Patrick Harris, Eugene Burger, and Stan Allen (MAGIC magazine). Check back often for new items, as well as to check out your bids.

TICKETS can be purchased on the Website as well. And if you can't attend, you can still purchase tickets and they will be given to the local Boys & Gitls Club.

In other news, performers booked so far include: Lyn Dillies, Eric DeCamps, Mike Bent, Joe Howard, Peter Samelson, Steve Kradolfer, Chipper Lowell, and Joe Stetson. There will be pre-show entertainment, and surprise guests.

EDITOR'S NOTE:  Incidentally, a major article in the December issue of The Linking Ring is about the "Benevolence of Magic." It discusses two dozen charitible and "giving back" activities -- the kind which magicians are known for. The "Let's DO Magic" project is a terrific example of magicians stepping up where needed, and doing something wonderful and magical. Of course it is hoped that other magicians will be inspired to help with THIS effort, as well as to do something similar when the need arises. A deep bow and big "THANK YOU" to everyone who is helping in any way with "Let's DO Magic." And I need not ask you who are believers, to keep David and his family in your prayers. You are already doing that.
