Michael Close has been selected as the new Editor of M-U-M Magazine the official organ of the Society of  American Magicians. S.A.M. President, Bruce Kalver, announced that  Mr. Close will succeed John Moehring as Editor beginning in January 2009. Michael Close is a magician, a writer and a fine musician. His books for magicians have become modern classics. He has performed and lectured around the world. (read more)  

Michael lives in Las Vegas and is a multi-talented entertainer both in the area of a magic and music. As a magician, he is a performer, a lecturer, an author, and a reviewer. His explorations into the world of electronic publishing have pushed the envelope for the teaching of magic. Michael is also an accomplished jazz musician, and he has served as the Music Director of the I.B.M. Convention Gala Shows since 1985. For a treat worth the experience, you can always ask him to share a story and then get ready to be entertained.
