Season's Greetings from South Korea the land of the morning calm. To all my friends in magic out there I hope that during this holiday season you were able to find some time, between your busy performing schedules, to spend with your family and loved ones to enjoy some holiday cheer. To those of you who don’t know me, I wish you the same and hope the New Year can bring us the opportunity to meet and discuss our common love for the art of magic.

The International Brotherhood of Magicians' Convention Talent Chairman Dale Salwak has announced the preliminary list of entertainers slated to appear at the 2010 edition of "The Greatest Annual Magic Convention on Earth." The upcoming I.B.M. Convention will be in San Diego, Calif., and Salwak encourages everyone to mark their calendars for July 6-10, 2010, and after seeing the list of performers and lectures in store, you will understand why. Ali Bongo, who died at age 79 in March 2009, left his huge collection of magical apparatus, stage props and colourful costumes to be auctioned for the benefit of the Magic Circle. His will also left his 700 magic books to the organization's library, and his trophies, medals, photographs, and records to its museum. There was a further request that his hundreds of magical magazines be distributed among the 750 members of the Young Magicians Club, the youth wing of the Magic Circle.

Bongo, who was president of the Magic Circle at the time of his death also left 10,000 pounds to the International Brotherhood of Magicians British Ring to hold a special gala show at its annual convention.
