You may have recently read that the Williams Magic Shop in Tucson, AZ is going out of business. Well, although they may sadly be saying goodbye to the brick-and-mortar shop. Emory Williams is far from giving up selling magic He has a fantastic trailer full of over 1,000 magic tricks, books, props and mysterious tr
easures. Emory will be traveling through Houston and stopping over to open his "Aladdin's Treasure Trove of Mystery."
Emory Williams will be in Houston on Sunday January 20th with his rolling magic shop on wheels. He will have it parked in the parking lot of the shopping center near the Pappa’s BBQ restaurant located at 4430 I-45 North (at Crosstimbers). For those of you who visited him last year, you will remember it as the same parking spot. He will be there not just once, but twice this year. Sunday afternoon January 20th from about 12:00 to about 4:00 p.m. then again on Tuesday evening January 22nd from about 5:00 to about 8:00 p.m. This will allow everyone a time to fit their schedules and come in for a visit and peruse his magical wares.

Even if you don’t buy anything, you should come by to see this mobile magic shop! This event is free and open to all magicians. He will be carrying many new items as well as thousands of stock inventory items and books as usual. Later this
afternoon (Sunday January 20th) we will celebrate the birthdays of two of esteemed, long time members of the Houston magic community, Donnie and Doug Kornegay. They will celebrate Doug's 80th birthday (we won't tell Donnie's age) by being surrounded with friends and family. It should be a joyous occasion. I attended their last big party five years ago and it was well attended by all of the Houston magic illuminati. I expect no less of today.
Top Talent Productions will present David Rangel onext Sunday evening, January 27. David Rangel performs his magic while spinning intriguing tales that are legendary while performing his act all across the globe. He also is the host of an awarding winning radio show in Houston, Texas, “Lost Fidelity.” Known for his never ending knowledge of the music he mixes, a blend of the roots of rock and roll with today’s artists. Voted Houston Press Best Radio Program in 2009. He is also founder and co-host of the 816 Podcast, offering an inside
look into the world of magic. He has taught his “Tricks of The Trade” at Montgomery College for the summer youth program and a course on the History of Magic at Yes Prep College. Experienced in performing for corporate functions, trade shows, weddings, restaurants and private parties, David has refined his sleight of hand mixed with his unique storytelling through the years. This is a experience you will never forget.
This will take place at La Carafe Wine Bar located at 813 Congress, Houston, TX. Showtime will begin at 8:00 p.m. but there will be strolling magic in the downstairs bar from 7:00 - 8:00 provided by Rick Hebert.
