Howdy friends. Lot's of stuff happening this week in Houston. If you happen to be in town, then join us.
You may have recently read that the Williams Magic Shop in Tucson, AZ is going out of business. Well, although they may sadly be saying goodbye to the brick-and-mortar shop. Emory Williams is far from giving up selling magic He has a fantastic trailer full of over 1,000 magic tricks, books, props and mysterious treasures. Emory will be traveling through Houston and stopping over to open his "Aladdin's Treasure Trove of Mystery."
Emory Williams will be in Houston on Sunday January 20th with his rolling magic shop on wheels. He will have it parked in the parking lot of the shopping center near the Pappa’s BBQ restaurant located at 4430 I-45 North (at Crosstimbers). For those of you who visited him last year, you will remember it as the same parking spot. He will be there not just once, but twice this year. Sunday afternoon January 20th from about 12:00 to about 4:00 p.m. then again on Tuesday evening January 22nd from about 5:00 to about 8:00 p.m. This will allow everyone a time to fit their schedules and come in for a visit and peruse his magical wares.
Emory Williams is the owner of Williams Magic (www.williamsmagic.com) in Tucson, Arizona. He has thousands of products to choose from in his mobile magic shop. Even if you don’t buy anything, you should come by to see this mobile magic shop! This event is free and open to all magicians. He will be carrying many new items as well as thousands of stock inventory items and books as usual. If you have any special requests or need to talk with Emory, then you can drop him an email at WmsMagic@aol.com You will not be disappointed. This is a full and complete magic shop and we are fortunate to have him stop in Houston.
Later this afternoon (Sunday January 20th) we will celebrate the birthdays of two of esteemed, long time members of the Houston magic community, Donnie and Doug Kornegay. They will celebrate Doug's 80th birthday (we won't tell Donnie's age) by being surrounded with friends and family. It should be a joyous occasion. I attended their last big party five years ago and it was well attended by all of the Houston magic illuminati. I expect no less of today.
