What should magicians do when one of their own needs help? HELP, of course. Thus, on January 19, 2013, two very special magic shows will be performed in Worcester, Massachusetts for a very special person. These shows will benefit David Oliver, a well-respected magician throughout New England and beyond, who has mentored dozens of other magicians over the years. Recently he was diagnosed with a rare lung disease, and the only treatment is a double lung transplant. For more details about the shows, including how you can help, please read on.
David Oliver is a Boston-area magician. More than just a talented magician, for more than twenty-five years, David Oliver has mentored, directed, and taught many of today’s finest young magicians from around the globe. In an effort to assist their friend in dealing with mounting medical bills, many stars of magic have put together this show to help a friend who has always been there to help them. Please join us in giving back some magic to a very magical friend.
For the two benefit magic shows, already signed up are magicians Mike Bent, Lyn Dillies, Eric DeCamps, Joe Howard, Steve Kradolfer, and Peter Samelson. More magicians will be joining this line-up, and will be announced in coming weeks.
