- THE MAGIC OF ROD CHOW & COMPANY
- Barbara Choi is proud to host and present the Chow family - International Magic Champions in an amazing, sparkling and spectacular production of colourful magic and illusion.
- This stellar show features the lovely Melody Choi, 5, as the young Princess of Magic. Melody started her magic assisting career at only 3 years old, and already her well spoken intelligent personality, wonderful stage presence and captivating charisma has earned her roles on World Magic Champion Juliana Chen’s magic spectacular, on live Breakfast TV and as a CBC Kids Across Canada spokesperson. Melody’s uncanny ability to delight the audience with her natural allure and idol-like quality has been recognized by the Society of American Magicians #95 in their presentation to her of their Lotti Hemeon Trophy for Best Magic Assistant of the year – a coveted award normally only going to the best of the best professional adult assistants.
- The beautiful Juliana Chow, 6, is also featured as the Magician’s Assistant with her charming character, striking poise and radiant appeal.
- The young skillfully talented magic stars of the show are Nicholas Chow, 6, and Jack Chow, 9. Both are sons of Rod & Sylvia Chow and cousins to Melody and Juliana. Nicholas is honoured that at only 5 years old he became the Youngest Pacific Coast Magic Champion in the over 70 year history of the Pacific Coast Association of Magicians annual conferences, the youngest Vancouver Magic Circle champion, and a Pacific Coast Gold Medalist at age 6. Jack, whose namesake is proud grand parents Jack & Jean Chow of Jack Chow Insurance fame, is a Four time Pacific Coast and Two time Vancouver Magic Circle Junior Magic Champion. These combined 9 trophies are quite the achievements for these young magicians who each started performing magic at only 4 years old.
- Recently featured on Global TV, CHEK TV, City TV, Fairchild TV, Channel M and Kids’ CBC National, as well as in The Asian Pacific Post, The Province and The Sing Tao newspapers, and in several Magic periodicals, this young group is well on their way to magic stardom.
- Led by Master Magician Rod Chow, 2006 International Champion of Magic, and winner himself of over two dozen local and international magic awards, the exceptional talents of these rising stars have dazzled audiences in places as large as the 1,000 seat Stardust Theatre on board the luxury Norwegian Star cruise ship, to relatively more intimate venues such as the Science Theatre at Science World Vancouver.
