RING 199 BANQUET - JANUARY 9TH 2010
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
THE BANQUET WAS SOLD OUT AND A HUGE SUCCESS!
The annual I.B.M. Ring #199 formal banquet on Saturday, January 9th at Errico’s Ristorante in Cary had a sold-out crowd, super food, great entertainment, super decorations with a great program and table centerpieces, and fun socializing. We couldn't ask for more!!!! It was a great evening for all who attended!
.
Roger Way, Ring President and chairman of the event really outdid himself by hosting one of the best Ring banquets we ever had! We thank the other Ring officers: Joe Schmelzer, Tom Beaman, Pam Beaman, and Cliff Bumgardner who also supported the evening by assisting Roger with the numerous details that made the evening enjoyable for all who attended. THANKS!!!
.
The delicious food prepared by chef Greg Lewis included grilled breads and spreads, caesar salad, pan seared chicken marsala, penne pasta tossed with portobello mushrooms, marinated grilled vegetables and assorted mini desserts. Whew, what a great combination of foods enjoyed by all!
.
The evening started out with Roger making some announcements and going over some Ring 199 history. He introduced Ring Vice Pres, Joe Schmelzer, who went over the past year's major events (and thanked those that coordinated them) that included 6 lectures, an auction, and ongoing events like the weekly magic lunch, the monthly magic sessions, the Habitat Show, the Don Carrick photograps, the support of The Magic Corner raffles, NHF providing a great Ring meeting place, and the Ring website and newsletters along with the photo gallery. THANKS TO ALL WHO SUPPORT THE RING'S ONGOING EVENTS!
.
Gary Shelton was MC of the evening’s entertainment with comedy and MacGuyver Magic headliner Scott Francis completing evening’s fun! What a great entertainment duo that the crowd enjoyed!
.
Scott’s hilarious MacGuyver Magic Do-It-Yourself lecture at Noon on the same day was entertaining and had a very good crowd attending. It taught us how to think outside of the magic store box! WHAT A FUN LECTURE!!!
.
Gary Shelton is a great comedian and acclaimed magician with loads of experience. He is a great entertainer using Comedy and Magic… what a great combination for an MC to make it a fun evening full of entertainment. His rapid fire humor kept us all laughing.
.
Scott Francis is a nationally known speaker and author originally from Boston, MA who combines comedy, magic and heartfelt messages into his programs. With over 25 years experience, Scott has presented over 3,000 programs to major companies. Scott had us holding our sides for over an hour, laughing, and enjoying his wit and magic along with his wife and assistant, Dede.
.
It was a great evening of magic, fun, and renewing our magical friendships! Thanks to all who made it happen!
