- Mr. Ligon is currently retired from two careers. He spent many years teaching cultural anthropology and mathematics, and worked in law enforcement. His primary interest in both careers revolved around supernaturalism, including both magic(k) and religion. He also has studied and written about mathematical anthropology. Mr. Ligon holds BA and MA degrees in anthropology and geography from Louisiana State University, and has completed the coursework for the PhD in anthropology at the University of Texas at Austin.
- Mr. Ligon has been interested in magic since childhood and has worked in a semiprofessional capacity although he prefers to consider himself an amateur. His interest in the supernatural derives from several experiences as a child and as a teenager. Mr. Ligon found his niche in magic several years ago when he came across CAPRICORNIAN TALES by Christian Chelman. He found he could combine two or more interests in what is called "bizarre magic."
- Mr. Ligon lives in Florida with his wife, Irma, a dog, a bird, and an infinite number of cats.
- Mr. Ligon is the author of THE HOLY ART: BIZARRE MAGICK FROM NALJORPA'S CAVE, which you must rush out and buy right now! HERE: link
