Magic Youth Raleigh-Durham
Serving the Triangle's Magical Youth

Magic Youth International was originally founded in 1955 by two Chicago teenagers, Robert J. Watson and Keith Halbasch. In 1966, MYI merged with two other youth-centered programs: the International Club of Magic (ICM)and the Magic Club of America (MCA).

This new club adopted the name of Magic Youth International and became the third largest magic organization in the United States just behind the International Brotherhood of Magicians and the Society of American Magicians.

MYI has five basic program goals: To educate young magicians to the ethics, history and skill of the international magic community; To expose skilled adult and gifted youth members to one another for their mutual benefit; To promote positive self-esteem and confidence among serious young magicians; To sculpt our magical youth into adults who will honor the IBM's fraternal traditions; And to project community awareness of magic as a valued art and community service.

The IBM charters individual chapters called Rings. Over 300 Rings link members around the world in their search for magical excellence. The professional and amateur magical artists within these Rings sponsor, support and mentor MYI chapters around the globe.

The Raleigh MYI chapter is sponsored by the Wallace Lee-Dick Snavely IBM Ring #199. The Raleigh Chapter welcomes Junior members between the ages of 10 through 17 years who share a serious interest in magic. The chapter meets at 6:00 PM on the first Saturday of each month at New Horizon Fellowship, 820 E. Williams St., Apex, NC.

Visitors and their parents are always welcome!
