A trio of characters Managed by Keeley-Bailey Associates. They are Doc N Sassy, HIRE’M and FIRE’M with LA'DOF the Magic Clowns and the Mr. and Mrs. Santa Clowns. Their Grandson Robby has just joined the clown troupe as LA'DOF.


Gerry started in magic as a Barber in Fort Wayne, IN. In 1962 while as a barber he met Boyd a magician and a member of the local ring. He was also selling Tupperware and looking for a way to sell the product different. His customer Boyd helped assemble a magic show featuring the Magician “Mr. Tupper”, using a large square circle as the focus of the show for producing the Tupperware. It was so popular that “Mr. Tupper” put on shows for other dealers.


Following the demise of the Tupperware magic he went on to use the same equipment with a change in the paint job to do magic shows during the holidays. Finding this very rewarding, continued to do magic as a entertainment for many parties and company functions.


In 1980 he changed jobs that required a lot of time and caused the magic to become placed on the shelf for a while. Gerry is from Indiana and moved to Arkansas to escape the snow!! Though considered the high school clown, only seriously pursued being a clown after arriving in Little Rock in 2000. Gerry has been performing magic shows since 1963 and returned to magic seriously in 2000. He has performed at the Soup Sunday at Cajun’s Wharf, and Santa Clown at Church during the Christmas program. As a professional Auctioneer, Gerry has performed at charity auctions. Gerry is also a member of Laffmaster of Arkansas, Clown Alley and International Brotherhood of Magicians, Ring 29, Little Rock, Arkansas.


Judy is an Arkansan, growing up in Hope, Arkansas. She attended Hendrix College and UCA in Conway. Judy was a theatre and drama major. She has performed with the Community Theatre of Little Rock, UALR Drama Department and Natchez, Mississippi Players during the Pilgrimage for 5 years. She performed in the play “Southern Exposure” playing the “maid” of a gentile southern family. She has had an interest in clowning since childhood but only seriously pursued becoming a clown/magician in 2002. Judy is a member of Laffmaster of Arkansas, Clown Alley and International Brotherhood of Magicians, Ring 29, Little Rock, Arkansas.


They have visited hospitals as Hire’M the Magic Clown, does Grand Openings of commercial businesses, and Gerry and Judy both opened for several county music stars at a Memorial Day function at Jasper, Arkansas at the Owl Lyon Ranch. For the Christmas Concert V 2003 with Music Director Lin Chang at Woolly Auditorium, The Arkansas School for the blind where they will perform as the opening act along with UALR Community School String Program, Arkansas Festival Ballet and Academy, Little Rock Christian Academy Warrior Band, friends and special guests. As a couple they have also preformed for the Underwriters for Health Insurance of Arkansas.
