Cyril the Sorcerer has worked hard to develop his magical powers. Most recently he spent a week at the McBride Magic and Mystery School in Las Vegas. The school was founded by Master Magician Jeff McBride (left). Jeff McBride has been named Magician of the Year and is considered by many to be the most influential magician of the 20th century. He created the school to ensure that today's magicians receive the highest caliber training. Each Master Class features teachings from Jeff and a series of topnotch local magicians. Cyril had the good fortune to be in attendance while Larry Hass (right) was also in residence. Lawrence Hass is a professor of Philosophy who also teaches and performs magic professionally. While the Master Class does teach "tricks" the emphasis is on helping a student turn the "special effect" of a trick into an experience that the audience finds truly magical. Teachings cover a broad range of the dramatic and magical arts. Students remain in contact with the school even after the classes are over. Cyril, like his teachers and fellow students, sees the study of the magical arts as a life-long pursuit.
