In January, 2009, Cory was a second place finisher in the Howard Adams script contest sponsored by Leaping Lizards Publications. In October 2008 Cory was an award winner in the Monster Magic Video competition sponsored by Monster Energy Drinks and Street of Cards Independent Television. In March, 2007, Cory Traveled to Las Vegas to help on a photo shoot with prominant dance photographer Candice Potrafka and study magic in a private session with Jeff McBride. During this session, material was advanced for Cory's new mind magic psycic show, which will include some rarely seen crystal reading. In August, 2006 Cory traveled to Las Vegas to study in a master class with Eugene Burger, Jeff McBride, Lance Burton and Mac King. While there, Cory also performed close-up magic for patrons in the Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino food court. In September, Cory made a special appearance performing on the SS Pride of Aloha.
