AboutI started performing magic over 25 years ago. I met up with a magician on holiday (a fantastic children’s entertainer by the name of Chris Davison) who taught me a few simple magic tricks. From then on I was hooked on magic. I read and watched everything I could on the subject and started to put together my own act. I won a few competitions, and performed lots of shows in the my local area. My main interest is in close-up magic but I also do stage and children’s shows. I stopped performing for a while when I started work, as a computer programmer, but kept my interest in magic going during this time, and in the last few years have had the opportunities to start performing again more regularly. For a number of years I was a member of the world famous Magic Circle and I am currently a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians and the Southern Sorcerers (a local group of magicians from the based in and around the Thanet area). I live in Ramsgate, Kent and I have 2 children, Emily and Matthew and a long suffering wife, Jen, who kindly puts up with the many hours of practice that my hobby requires. http://www.colinhoult.co.uk/ |
