Captain Gags' land lubbing alter ego, Don has had an interest in magic since being a wee sailor on his Dad's boat.
For their daughter's 2nd birthday, and after some prompting from his wife, Captain Gags was brought ashore and now presents a half hour show, happily staying for birthday candles, posing for happy snaps and even presenting the adults with some baffling magic routines afterwards.
For the second year running, he has been elected Vice President of Adelaide's chapter of the International Brotherhood of Magicians and has most recently performed in the Spiegletent with The Beards at this years Adelaide Fringe.
You may even catch him on repeats of Channel 44s "The Noticeboard" in which he appeared with some magic friends promoting The Bombshelter's part in History Week.
If you see Don out and about, don't be shy, and feel free to ask for a pic, as this happy couple, (left) found out.
