Five Magic Acts in "America's Got Talent" Semi-Finals

Category: Blog   Posted by: C. DENNIS SCHICK

Last night -- August 24 -- America’s Got Talent completed their Quarter Final competitions, and will now move to their Semi-Finals, beginning next week. Amazingly, of the twenty-one semi-finalists, FIVE (5) are magic acts. That’s nearly twenty-five percent, giving one or more magicians a good chance of not only becoming finalists, but also actually winning the whole thing. However, they need your help by voting.

Making the semi-finals are:

(1)  Jon Dorenbos, a professional football player with the Philadelphia Eagles;

(2)  The Clairvoyants, mentalists Thommy Ten and Amelie van Tass, from Austria;

(3)  Rubik’s Cube expert Steven Brundage;

(4)  Blake Vogt, a young, fresh face with new, original ideas, and

(5)  Kardan and Brooklyn Rockett, kid magicians. (The Rocketts are the children of Bart Rockett, who performed in Branson for several seasons.)

If you want one or more magicians to move on, watch the show on Tuesday nights on NBC, and then vote as many times as you are allowed that same evening (before 7 am est the following morning. One way is to go to www.nbc.com and vote online.

What a terrific opportunity for magicians to make national news again, after Mat Franco won it all two years ago.
